  1. Lucky #13 On a very hot summer day in 2005 we opened our doors in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood in the 4700 block of North Lincoln Avenue. Through a bit of luck and a lot of hard work, we are happy to be celebrating our 13th birthday. Yes, we're a teenager! A lot has changed for us in those thirteen years; a new address, a holiday sock pop-up shop, 3 different presidents, a redesigned website, 2 World Series championships, 3(!) Stanley Cup Championships, 3 babies, many new dogs and cats...

A portmanteau of cork and icecicle, the Corkcicle in-bottle wine chiller was an ingenious invention that you inserted it in a bottle of white wine, keeping the bottle cold for hours without a messy ice bucker or continuous refrigeration. Corkcicle followed with the Whiskey Wedge, a glass with a silicone ice mold that kept spirits cold without getting watered-down. Now, 9 years later, what started out...
  3. Happy Birthday Chicago! Chicago is know for a lot of things. But one of our favorites is the Chicago Flag. In a 2013, Chicago Magazine published a piece by Robert Loerzel asserting "Chicago’s Flag Is a Much Bigger Deal Than Any Other City’s Flag." We concur. He writes, "Chicago’s flag flies from front porches all over town. It’s seen on T-shirts—and in tattoos. Does the flag matter so much (or look so good) in any other American city?" We don't think so. In the United States, I’d have to rate Ch...
