We are excited to offer additional sizes and styles of our handmade, high-quality masks by MaggiePops—a collaboration of local mother, Heather, and her twin daughters.
MaggiePops masks started with Heather and one of her 11 year old daughters began to sew cotton masks in early March—following the initial Illinois stay-at-home order. Originally made for neighbors, family and friends, the family created the masks and sold them as a fundraiser and donated the proceeds to support the World Health Organization, Lurie Children’s Hospital and Queen of Angels Parish while Heather was working from home and the kids were e-learning.
As the Illinois mask mandate was coming into effect, the demand for masks has increased so ENJOY, AN URBAN GENERAL STORE asked MaggiePops to create additional sizes and styles available for sale online. Heather enlisted both of her daughters to help create (and model) the product.
Recently, Heather's mother, Ellen, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In honor of their mother/grandmother, MaggiePops will to donate a portion of its proceeds of mask sales to the American Cancer Society in support of their efforts to fight ovarian cancer.
ENJOY, AN URBAN GENERAL STORE | Urbangeneralstore.com will match MaggiePops donation to the American Cancer Society for every mask sold in the month of May.
