Our Contributions
We want to support the incredible organizations and the folks who do good work in our community. ENJOY, AN URBAN GENERAL STORE | Urban General Store, Inc. makes annual and semi-annual contributions to the following:
- 100% of our profits from our Black Lives Matter and Trans Lives Matter products to Brave Space Alliance, the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ Center located on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ individuals on the South and West sides of Chicago.
- 20% of the profits from the sale of our Pro-Choice/Reproductive Freedom products to Midwest Access Coalition that provides accommodation and support to those who travel to, from, and within the Midwest to access a safe, legal abortion when prohibitive legislation limits access closer to home.
- 10% of profits from the sale of our Urban General Store Goods Chicago Flag apparel to the Friendship Center to support their efforts to feed our neighbors in need.
Since 2005, we have supported 1000's of local organizations, schools, fundraising events, raffles, auctions and more through in-kind donations of ENJOY Chicago Gift Cards. We serve as drop-off locations for Brave Space Alliance's Crisis Pantry and support the Night Ministry's Winter Sock Drive.
Our Vendors and Brands
We prioritize offering products created by creators and makers of marginalized communities including, but not limited to, Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ identifying vendors and independent makers.
